Terms & Policies

1. Registration

Registration in any BFA programme constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Programmes include:

• Academy Training
• Pathways Programme
• Holiday Camps
• Goalkeeper Programme
• Girls Programme
• Adult Leagues
• Tournaments and Events

2. Fees and Payments

Programme fees must be paid by the due date stated on invoices. BFA reserves the right to suspend participation where fees remain outstanding.

Payments may be made via:

• Stripe
• Bank transfer
• Other approved methods

3. Refund Policy

Programme fees are non-refundable. By registering, parents and guardians acknowledge that they are committing to a full term/subscription period and that fees will not be returned once a place has been reserved.

Refunds or credits will not be issued under any circumstances for:

• Holidays, travel or family commitments.
• Absence through illness or injury.
• Missed, skipped or forgotten sessions for any reason.
• Changes in personal circumstances, relocation or scheduling conflicts.
• Withdrawal mid-term at the parent's request, including dissatisfaction after sessions have commenced.
• Weather, climate, temperature, humidity, air quality or other environmental conditions.
• Complaints relating to venue facilities, pitch surface, shade, wind, breeze or natural surroundings.
• Disagreement with coaching decisions, team selection or session content.

Refunds or credits are issued solely at the discretion of BFA management and only in exceptional circumstances. If BFA cancels a programme, a pro-rata credit or refund may be offered for the unfulfilled sessions only.

4. Weather, Climate and Venue Conditions

The British Football Academy conducts training outdoors in Singapore. Singapore has a tropical climate with consistently high temperatures and humidity year-round. By registering, parents and guardians accept and acknowledge that:

• Sessions will be conducted in hot, humid and exposed outdoor conditions.
• Venues may differ in their level of shade, breeze, shelter and natural airflow.
• BFA cannot control, alter or guarantee weather, temperature, humidity, wind or shade at any venue.
• Differences in environmental conditions between venues are not grounds for refunds, credits or complaints.

Sessions are led by qualified coaches who manage hydration breaks, rest and welfare appropriately for the conditions. Should BFA deem conditions unsafe (e.g. lightning, extreme air quality), sessions may be paused, relocated or rescheduled — no refund is owed for such adjustments.

Training schedules and venues may also be amended due to:

• Weather conditions.
• Air quality concerns.
• Venue availability.
• Safety considerations.

BFA will endeavour to notify families promptly. Venue or schedule changes do not entitle participants to refunds.

5. Player Conduct

Players are expected to:

• Respect coaches and teammates.
• Demonstrate good sportsmanship.
• Follow instructions.
• Behave appropriately.

BFA reserves the right to suspend or remove participants whose conduct is deemed unacceptable.

6. Parent Conduct

Parents are expected to:

• Support all players positively.
• Respect coaches and officials.
• Refrain from abusive behaviour.

BFA operates a zero-tolerance approach towards abuse, harassment and discrimination.

7. Medical Information

Parents must inform BFA of:

• Allergies.
• Medical conditions.
• Medication requirements.

Emergency treatment may be sought where necessary.

8. Liability

Participation in football involves inherent risks. BFA accepts no liability for injury, loss or damage except where required by law.

Parents and guardians accept these inherent risks on behalf of their child and acknowledge that BFA, its coaches, staff and venue partners are not responsible for any injury, loss or damage arising from participation, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

9. Force Majeure

BFA shall not be liable for any failure or delay in providing sessions, programmes or services where this is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Acts of God, extreme weather, lightning, flooding or natural disasters.
• Pandemics, epidemics or public health emergencies.
• Government mandates, lockdowns or changes in law or regulation.
• Venue closures, court orders or withdrawal of venue access by third parties.
• Industrial action, strikes or transport disruption.
• Fire, power failure or equipment failure.
• Terrorism, civil unrest or other serious safety threats.

In such circumstances, BFA may cancel, suspend, reschedule or relocate sessions without notice. No refunds, credits or compensation will be owed for sessions affected by force majeure events. Where practicable, BFA may offer alternative dates or credits at its sole discretion.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with BFA programmes shall, where possible, be resolved amicably with BFA management in the first instance. Failing resolution, the matter shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

11. Acceptance of Terms

Registration, payment or participation in any BFA programme — including trial bookings, membership sign-ups, holiday camps and kit orders — constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the registered player and their parent or guardian. It is the parent or guardian's responsibility to read these terms before registering.

Coaches and Staff

BFA expects all staff to:

• Maintain professional standards.
• Act in the best interests of players.
• Treat all children equally and fairly.
• Promote positive behaviour.

Anti-Bullying

Bullying of any form will not be tolerated. This includes:

• Physical bullying.
• Verbal abuse.
• Social exclusion.
• Online or cyberbullying.

Reporting Concerns

Any concerns regarding the welfare or safety of a child should be reported immediately to BFA management. All concerns will be taken seriously and handled confidentially where appropriate.

Inclusion

BFA promotes an environment free from:

• Discrimination.
• Harassment.
• Abuse.

Every player deserves to enjoy football in a safe and respectful environment.
